Eleodoro Gaspar-Tlatelpa, 26

Eleodoro Gaspar-Tlatelpa, a 26-year-old Latino, died Saturday, Jan. 8, in the 2700 block of Nevin Avenue in Central-Alameda, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Gaspar-Tlatelpa was in his living room about 10 p.m. when he was struck by multiple shots fired through his window, according to Los Angeles police Lt. Samuel Rhone and a coroner’s investigator.

The shooter fled, and police say they have no leads.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:21 p.m. According to preliminary coroner’s records, Gaspar-Tlatelpa was shot about 12 times.

Rhone said the shooting was believed to be gang-related.

Being a gangmember is such a broad term, what happen to beating a person to a bloody pulp... but letting him live. Especially when a man is home with potential children and family, that's a monster who did this.

I walk through this area on a weekly basis to get to LATTC and it's gang infested

Street Saints right by the Community College. Primera Flats around 23rd and Trinity Park. Ghetto BoyZ around 28th and Maple to San Pedro.
Locos Park 13 by Central Park with
Eastside 13 a few streets down the block.

Then there's the notorious and old varrio 38th Street gang with Barrio Evil 13 by Vernon.

It's clear: Los Angeles is one gorgeous cess pool full of monsters and angels. It's about time the angels overtook the monsters.

I work for los angeles times and I live in south la I live around gang infested ppl especially 38st. I don't believe if was gang related. From what I know this guy was no gang member. I just wish ppl knew what we go through everyday. We Can't even walk to the park

Who's at fault here? Certainly not the Americans or the Hispanic forefathers that started these clubs as a "friendly" way to have a good time.
Quit your damn crying and blame yourselves. Stop expecting the people of the USA to have sympathy and pay for everything.
