@meck,
And who are you to say who gets in to heaven and who doesn't?

Meck
You are so correct.

It was a misunderstanding with friends in that same block... a fight that lead to Enrique being shot in the back by a coward after a dispute as he was leaving a friends house and he collapsed on the tracks. Meck is not only wrong, he's a pathetic unemployed senior on SSI with no life trying to justify young men's murders... so ignore his hate comments, I knew this kid personally. He was NOT a trouble maker and carried himself well. My condolences to his family, don't think revenge... think change. I knew this kid, and he was shot because someone fought him, and lost... like cowards, cowards like Meck.

It's funny that you knew this guy too. How many does that make on the HR? You are everywhere. You either know the person, or you witnessed the homicide yourself. I would like to point one in particular.

John's comment and Citizenjohn's comment about half way down the page.
You've been exposed before. Don't make yourself look foolish with your constant lying. Your comments lost validity a long time ago. If anyone's comments should be ignored, it should be yours. You actually think people are going to believe you were a witness or were friends with the victim on so many of these homicides. What a pitiful way of trying to get attention. I won't dignify the rest of your post with a reply.

weather he was lying or not, your comments are still wrong, to think you have the ability to judge who goes to where and who doesn't is trying to play God. Your not God....

Get stoned! I will continue to judge these domestic terrorists who know right from wrong. Because I'm not God doesn't mean I will sit quietly and not give law-breakers a piece of my mind.

Meck,
I didn't know Mr. Ponce nor do I know you. I see your name on all of these homicide reports bashing these young men who have seen the end far too soon. While I understand your frustration with gangs, etc., it is disgusting that you make comments such as, "Not ones that terrorize people and their neighborhoods" when you didn't even know this young man.
How do you know he was a "domestic terrorists" and not simply in the wrong place at the wrong time?
Look in the mirror, Meck; I'm sure you are not as pure as you imagine yourself to be. Stop judging people you don’t know and stop hurting those who were affected by these unfortunate deaths. Stop portraying yourself as the one who knows best and does nothing… If you want to change your neighborhood, get involved in these young people’s lives.

Should I be applauding instead? If you read the blog long enough, you notice the trends. You seem very ignorant on street slang. Look at the neighborhood first of all. Then notice the first comment. This guy was not at the wrong place at the wrong time.

southern girl:
you are SO right. I am from Los Angeles. Lived in Highland Park,, Montecito Heights and MT. Washington...as a WHITE girl, I was not part of a gang. I was in my teens and early 20's living there (and had to witness murders of my neighbors b/c of gangs and drugs) and nothing has changed there in the last 20 yrs. Same Ol Stuff. Since I have lived in a couple different states in the South.... It's how you LIVE that makes every difference in the U.S.! NO MATTER WHERE YOU LIVE!
