Enrique Ramos, 21

Died Feb. 3, 2007 at 11:45 a.m.

Enrique Ramos, 21, a Latino man, was struck by gunfire at 1609 E. 60th St. in Florence, and died at 11:45 a.m. Feb. 3.

Ramos was sitting on his front porch talking to a friend when a young man, possibly a teenager, walked up to them, cursed at them, made a reference to gangs, then pointed an assault rifle and fired.

Ramos was struck and killed; investigators believe he was not a gang member and don’t think his assailant knew him. Sheriff’s detectives are looking for a young suspect, 5 feet tall and weighing between 110 and 120 pounds. He got into a light blue van, which sped off southbound on Makee Avenue. Anyone with information is asked to call Sheriff’s Homicide at (323) 890-5500.

Happy Birthday Kiki, you would of been 25 this year. Your greatly missed by the family. Your absence left a great void in our hearts that will never be filled. Even though your killer hasn't been caught we know that God will serve justice, and prevent this killer from ever hurting a family like he hurts ours. We miss you.
