Eric Salazar, 27, a Latino man, was shot in the torso at 5458 Geer St. in South Los Angeles on Sunday, April 1, and died at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, April 3. Salazar was walking on the sidewalk at about 4:15 p.m. when a dark-colored car pulled up, and a gunman shot him. He survived for two days at a hospital.
