Thanks for sending out this message. Erik is my son and the facts about his death are very distrubing. My prayers are that the person who did this crime come forward to the police and pay for his crime. The last thing I want is blood for blood...continued black crime on black crime. Let's stop it now!!!

Erik was my bro and my best friend i still to this day can't believe i will never hear his voice again. We lived together and did everthing together but recently grew apart to start and prepare our own lives. He made me the god dad and i thank u E for all the memories and time we shared bro. If some knows "ANYTHING" that would help please do so. He didn't deserve this he was the kind of person that would give you his last or have your back no matter what.

If he was such a "good man", what was he doing out at 1 am knowing that part of the hood is always hot. Just curious. People always talk about the good of the people but not the bad, so was he banging, hustling, pimping? What?

Read the article again. It does not say that he was out at 1 am. Why assume that this young man was doing wrong? Someone has lost a son, brother, friend to violence. My condolences go out to the family.

I miss my little brother so much..... I think about him all the time. So many regrets about not spending a lot of time together as an adult. Cherish all of your loved ones because no man know the day or hour. May God Bless and keep you all!

Ms. Smith obviously went to a school that did not teach her A's from P's...always assuming and when you do that most of us know what you make of yourself...before you condemn this young man that lost his life why dont you take a chance at getting your information together...whether a person is out at night or the day time they have the right to be out without you questioning why...THis is why the community and the police are at odds...TO the young man's family may you find peace over time and know that your family member is no longer being judged by INHUMANE idiots like Ms. Smith...
