Died July 13, 2011
Estrella Medina, a 25-year-old Latina, was shot and killed Wednesday, July 13, in the 11600 block of Bromont Avenue in Pacoima, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Authorities were alerted about a fire at a home shortly before 4 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze.
A man escaped the residence but suffered scrapes and smoke inhalation while trying to battle the flames. He was treated for his injuries, authorities said.
Inside the house, officials found Medina dead.
Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said that during the autopsy, it was learned that Medina died from a gunshot wound, not from complications from the fire.
Additionally, it was discovered that Medina was pregnant with a boy. He has since been identified as "Medina baby boy." The coroner's office declined to say how far along the fetus was.
The coroner’s office had no other information about the case.

Estrella was my friend. We all hung around with our friends and had good times. This is so shocking to me. I cannot believe this happened to her.

Who kills a pregnant girl ? Horrible! How was the fetus discovered 2 days later? Shot in the head in her home, who was she dating?

Tello, You my be gone and as all of us in your family can't see you any more, we all have you in our memories and in our hearts. I for one will always remember the good and happy times we all spent together where you, your sisters and my three Daughters were hanging out at Mickey d's when you were all little. Your heart full of joy and smiles that seemed to be endless and your sense of humor will all be missed. We all love you and we pray to our Lord that justice for the people that took you away from us will be served.

Me and her where very close friends I just cant belive this happened I feel bad for her older 2 kids.HAS ANYONE TALKED TO HER SISTER LESLIE I really want to talk to her but nobody has seen her has anyone heard from her.

I would like to know what happened… You can’t kill a pregnant women and get away with it. Were there any arrest??? Whoever did it, YOU ARE GOING TO HELL! Someone knows something and they’re just not talking.
