Francisco Macias, 24

Francisco Macias, a 24-year-old Latino, died Sunday, May 1, less than 15 minutes after he was shot in the 10900 block of Eastwood Avenue in Lennox, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Macias was sitting in a car April 30 about 11:54 p.m. when a person ran up and fired a gun, striking him several times, said Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office.

Authorities were called, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Winter had no other information about the shooting.
