Franklin Hernandez, 19, a Latino young man, was struck by gunfire at the intersection of 113th Street and Yukon Avenue in Inglewood and died at 10:34 p.m. Friday, June 15.
A lone man in white van pulled up to group in a driveway at 3703 113th St. and fired out the window. Hernandez was hit. Anyone with information is asked to call Inglewood police at (310) 412-5246.

Franklin was the love of my life its going on 3yrs since he was killed, I miss him every day. I now have a son who is 2yrs old Alexander Hernandez before Franklin was taken away I found out that I was a few weeks pregnant I never really got the chance to tell him that he was going to be a dad I now look at my son n see his face, the same shaped eyes n big beautiful smile. He is my world every night show him pictures of what would have been his dad n I say "he is ur father n he will always be with u n loves u from the other side" all he says is daddy n smiles... ive learned to raise him on my own n I will teach him from right to wrong, when he gets older n starts to ask where is his father? I will try to make him understand that some selfish person took him from us but that God now has him in his keeping but we will have him in our hearts..... I love u
