Franklin Munoz, 20

Died Oct. 15, 2011 at 1:34 a.m.

Franklin Munoz, a 20-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Saturday, Oct. 15, near Hollywood Boulevard and Gower Street in Hollywood, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Officers responded to a call regarding shots fired about 12:35 a.m., according to an LAPD news release.

When authorities arrived, they found Munoz on the sidewalk with several gunshot wounds to his body, officials said.

Paramedics were called and the victim was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 1:34 a.m.

Investigators do not have a description of the shooter. The incident is believed to be gang-related.
