Gasper Plummer Jr., 24

Died June 9, 2009 at 9:48 p.m.

Gasper Plummer Jr., a 24-year-old black man, was shot and died on June 9 in the 1900 block of West 25th Street in Adams-Normandie, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.

An unidentified assailant shot Plummer in the head about 9:30 p.m. as he was standing in the street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. He died at the scene.

Police said they did not know if the suspect fled the scene on foot or in a car, and they did not have a description of the suspect. An unidentified person called 911 after hearing the gunshot.
