George Glass, 40

Died Dec. 14, 2008 at 5:45 p.m.

George Glass, a 40-year-old black man, was shot in the torso about 4:30 p.m. Dec. 14, 2008, in the 900 block of West Magnolia Street near Compton Boulevard in Compton, authorities said.

Glass was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
