Gerardo Corral Jr.

Gerardo Corral Jr., a 27-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Friday, Jan. 1, in the 10700 block of Klingerman Street in South El Monte, authorities said.

According to a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department news release, Corral was standing in the street about 1:45 a.m. when two Latinos in a dark-colored car drove up to him. Corral and the men "exchanged words" then at least one of them shot him in the chest and abdomen, according to the news release and coroner's records.

Corral was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2:25 a.m.

Anyone with information about this killing is asked to call Sheriff's homicide detectives at (323) 890-5500.

Gerardo corral jr was my boyfriend and he was a good guy with a big heart i miss him so much and who ever were the ones that shot and killed him will get theirs in the end...Loving u always and 4ever in my heart gerardo corral jr my you rest in peace

Damn my boy, it was too long I hadn't seen ya. We last did our thing at grand home inn. I was busted with ur tio ee-err (caballo) when we all, (joejoe, srappy, danger, Shorty & bambam) got the call. Sorry to ur FAM.
