Gerardo Pizarro, a 29-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Monday, April 12, in the 1100 block of Murchison Avenue in Pomona, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Pomona police officers received call of a possible shooting about 12:45 a.m., according to a department news release. When they arrived at the location, officers found Pizarro and Jorge Aguilar, a 33-year-old Latino, suffering from gunshot wounds.
According to coroner's records, Pizarro was pronounced dead at the scene at 1 a.m. Aguilar died en route to County-USC Medical Center.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Detectives McCann or Aguirre at (909) 620-2095. According to police, tipsters who wish to remain anonymous can call (909) 620-2085.
