Gerardo Salazar, 22, a Latino man, was shot in the head at 5105 Katrina Place in Palmdale about 1 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 10.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Salazar was declared dead at the scene. His time of death was listed as 1:27 a.m., according to a coroner's report.
