German Chairez Jr., an 18-year-old Latino, was fatally shot Friday, Nov. 19, in the 15000 block of Parthenia Street in North Hills, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Police said the assailant fled on foot. The motive for the shooting is not known, Eisenman said, adding that homicide detectives are investigating.
