Gevorg Gasparyan, a 25-year-old white man, was killed at about 3:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at 30007 Lexington Avenue in Val Verde. Val Verde is just west of Santa Clarita, up by Castaic.
He was in a house with another white man, said Sheriff's Lt. Larry Lincoln. Two robbers wearing masks broke in and ordered the pair to the ground at gunpoint. One of the victims managed to wrest a gun away from a robber, and a struggle ensued. The other robber shot the 25-year-old man, and the two fled.
