Guillermo Vargas, 32

Guillermo Vargas, a 32-year-old Latino, was shot several times while attending a party in the early morning of Saturday, Aug. 1, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.

Vargas was shot in the 8400 block of South Main Street in the Florence area of South Los Angeles.

An argument broke out at the party about 1:55 a.m. and Vargas was struck by gunfire. He was taken to a hospital where he died at 4:48 a.m., said Craig Harvey, chief coroner investigator.
