Hassan Johnson, 37, a black man, was shot Monday, Sept. 3 at about 7:55 p.m. at 85th and Harvard streets. He was taken to California hospital, where he died at 9:37 p.m.
He was on foot, walking to the liquor store. So were his attackers, suspected to be two Latino men or youths. They confronted and shot Johnson for unknown reasons. He ran, and despite having multiple gunshot wounds, made it all the way to 84th and Western Avenue before he fell.
