Herberth Hernandez, 22, a Latino man, was shot through the head as he was driving in the 7400 block of South San Pedro Street in South-Central Los Angeles, and died at 12:20 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21.
He was a construction worker, just leaving his girlfriend's house to go home, detectives said. Hernandez was hit by a bullet, which entered behind his ear and exited his brow, and he lost control of his car. The car flipped over and crashed. The 911 call came in to police as a traffic accident. Only after officers arrived did they realize Hernandez had been shot.

Herb, you were taken way to soon from too many people that loved you man. I still see ur smile and remember taking mad pics at all those Apt buildings we were fixing up. Anybody that knows herb, get at me on facebook.
