Hervie Norman, 34

Died July 4, 2011

Hervie Norman, a 34-year-old black man, was shot and killed Monday July 4, in the 2200 block of East 105th Street in Watts, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Norman was on the front porch of a residence about 10:58 p.m. when a car drove by and shots were fired, said Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office.

Authorities were called, and Norman was taken to a hospital in Lynwood where he was pronounced dead at 11:34 p.m. According to coroner's records, he died from a gunshot wound to the chest.
