Jorge Aguilar, a 33-year-old Latino, was shot and died Monday, April 12, in the 1100 block of Murchison Avenue in Pomona, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
[Note: Aguilar was initially listed by the coroner only as an "unidentified male."]
Pomona police officers received call of a possible shooting about 12:45 a.m., according to a Police Department news release. When they arrived at the location, they found Aguilar and Gerardo Pizarro, a 29-year-old Latino, suffering from gunshot wounds.
According to coroner's records, Aguilar died at 1:30 a.m. en route to County-USC Medical Center. Pizarro was pronounced dead at the scene.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Detectives McCann or Aguirre at (909) 620-2095. According to police, tipsters who wish to remain anonymous can call (909) 620-2085.

The unidentified male was my cousin George. George was funny and outgoing. It's been a while since ive seen him and that breaks my heart. George is going to be missed by so many. :( I pray for the family of his friend.

Jorge would always put a smile on your face, cracking jokes and playing around. He will be missed very much by all of his family. I pray that he rests in peace. We love you Jorge.

JORGE WAS A GREAT GUY HE MADE ME MAD ALL THE TIME BECAUCE HE WAS CRACKING JOKES ABOUT ME BUT WE STILL CARED ABOUT HIM WE LOVE SO MUCH AND U ARE IN A BETTER PLACE REST IN PEACE CUZ :(

Gorge was a"great friend"to have.He always made me laugh.He's the kind of friend that'll share his last dollar with you.He luvd kids.My prayers go out to his family.He will turly be missed!

I'm in shock, I still can't believe that he is gone you were and always going to be someone special in my life you were there for me and your niece when we most needed you. JORGE WAS A DOWN TO EARTH GUY. I ONLY KICKED IT WITH HIM A FEW TIMES. BUT THE FEW TIMES I WAS AROUND HIM HE WAS ALWAYS MAKING EVERYONE LAUGH. I DONT KNOW THE CAUSE OF WHY THIS HAPPENED TO A GOOD PERSON BUT HE IS IN A BETTER PLACE WATCHING OVER US & WILL BE TRULY MISSED. MY DEEPEST CONDOLENCES GO OUT TO HIS FAMILY & HIS CLOSEST FRIENDS. from pomona they took him to LA county? why couldnt they take him to a closer hospital? maybe that would have saved his life!

I grow up with George and his brothers in Lynwood.He was not only a friend,but a brother to me.George was a person that no matter what,he will make u laugh.I will always remember the good times we had in Lynwood and in Las Vegas.

I got to see my brother today. It was good to see him. I miss him so much. Me, Kala and the boys were sitting here in your room thinking of you and hoping you would come to see us. Show us a sign or something. I miss my brother. I love you and can't stand that your gone. My heart is torn and eventhough ur gone u will always be in my heart. Life will never be the same.
