i hope they find out who took this mans life . i heard the shots that night and im sad to hear the guy didnt make it . the sheriffs need to do there job more when it comes to gun violence in the inner city . it seems as if the sheriffs are the ones making things worst in la county period . they prey on the weak and the citizens who actually make a diffrence in society . instead of harrassing gang memebers and drug dealers and prostitutes that the community of lynwood see everyday on long beach blvd . I BLAME THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY SHERIFFS for this murder becuase are tax money is going to waist while lee bacas boys play the role of a gang instead of law enforcement . so how are gangsters sapposed to be scared of the police when the police treat them better than individuals who are tryning to make a diffrence like HUGO . RIP my fellow lynwood resident may god bless you in his home and may your famliy be taken care of .

unknown, the Sheriffs do harrass gangbangers and they should. We need to clean the cities up.

to Sheba,
first of all you (i.e. americans) need to stop the fire-guns selling, then it would be at least in principle possible to decrease the number of criminal acts in LA, and in other cities as well. The criminal fame about LA is extremely high even outside of USA, so I am wondering how you can still live there without any real counteracts...

@"looking" taking away our gun rights isnt not going to solve anything, infact,it'll only make things alot worse.
Take mexico for example, the goverment down there by law, does not permit its citizens to carry concealed weapons to defend themselves, thats why you have out right outlawness with criminal organizations down there..and its mirrors what ghetto life in the states is like also.

But Dont believe the hype about L.A being the most murderous, crime is natural for big masses of populations like L.A ,you can only contain it.
But make no mistake about it -crime is actually down these days ,and contnues to go down, its just these Law makers, police, and media that keeps throwing fuel on the fire because they subtling wish to enslave us once again by taking away our rights as citizens under the banner of "peace" or.. fake peace I should say.
Crime is decreasing not because of the police or politicians, but because most kids are smart enough these days to figure out that gang life or criminality is a road that leads to know where.

Hugo was a wonderful young man. He and my niece both attended LHS. My niece admired him because he did not follow any gang. He was loved by many and will truly be missed.

Rest in Peace Hugo

Antman31, I couldn't agree more with you posting. How about giving credit to the Mexican Mafia who ensure gangs don't kill innocent victims? You never hear that anywhere.

RIP HUGO...
a amazing man ...
i grew up with him and he was the sweetest most optimistic man i knew.. truly in love with life.. his death was unfair and unbelievable, he was not a Hispanic statistic. He was hard worker and wanted to better himself. not gang regulated family oriented, great friend.. many great memories of you JUICE .. i love you and miss you terribly
