Hugo Negrete, a 17-year-old Latino, was stabbed to death Saturday, Nov. 7, in the 11000 block of Bonwood Road in El Monte, authorities said.

The death was reported about 3 a.m., said L.A. County Sheriff's Deputy Lillian Peck. Negrete, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was stabbed about four times, according to coroner's investigators.
