Ian Banton, 42

Ian Banton, 42, a black man, was found by police stabbed to death and lying in the street at 721 S. Myrtle Ave. in Inglewood about 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8. Paramedics took him to a hospital, where he died.

Inglewood police investigators said Banton was walking on Myrtle when a man or youth pulled up, got out of a car, and started chasing him. Banton ran, but tripped and fell in the street. His attacker stabbed him, then sped away in the car.
