Died Aug. 27, 2010 at 12:40 p.m.

Ismael Araujo, a 19-year-old Latino, was stabbed to death Friday, Aug. 27, in the 800 block of West Magnolia Street in Compton, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Araujo was attacked by his sister, Patricia Gomez, in a home at about 11:50 a.m., authorities said.

Police said the siblings apparently were fighting for unknown reasons when Gomez allegedly stabbed her brother.

Gomez, a 23-year-old Latina, was arrested at the scene, police said.

She is currently being held at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood in lieu of $1.02-million bail. Her next court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 15 at Compton Superior Court.
