James Milton Hill, a 64-year-old black man, died at a local hospital Friday, May 23, after being shot 13 days ago. Hill had been on life support after surgery.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Hill was shot on May 17 about 4:30 a.m. at the intersection of Florence Avenue and Denker Avenue In South-Central L.A. Police said the driver of a black compact pulled alongside Hill and shot him. Hill collapsed on the pavement.
