Jarrod Sellars, 32, a black man, was shot and killed by his girlfriend, a black woman, who then turned the gun on herself at 10116 Paloma Avenue in Watts at about 4:03 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, police said.
Both were transported to a hospital and pronounced dead. His death was timed exactly one hour after the shooting. Neighbors, who heard arguing and gunshots, called police. The couple's three children were in the house when the shooting happened.
