Jason Ayala, a newborn Latino, died Monday, July 31, in the 1200 block of 75th St. in Florence-Firestone, according to the Los Angeles County coroner.
Jason was a full-term baby born dead at home, according to coroner records. He suffered from head trauma and asphyxia, said Craig Harvey, chief coroner's investigator, and his death was a ruled a homicide.
