Jason Hernandez, 23, a Latino man, was shot at about 2 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, at 4500 Griffin, and died about eight hours later at County-USC Medical Center.
He was driving his '99 Audi when shots rang out. He was struck in the torso, lost control of the car, and collided with two parked cars, said Hollenbeck Det. D.W. Fields. People nearby heard gunfire and the sound of a car speeding away, and called police. Hernandez leaves a common-law wife and a child.
