Jeffrey Martinez, 29, a Latino man, was fatally shot at 12309 E. Carson St. in Hawaiian Gardens about 5:45 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24.

Authorities said the man was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:40 p.m. Detectives with the sheriff's homicide bureau are investigating.
