Jerry Flores, 23

Jerry Flores, a 23-year-old Latino man, was shot near the intersection of Greenleaf Avenue and Reis Street about 9:50 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, in an unincorporated area of L.A. County near Whittier.

Flores was taken by ambulance to Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital, where he died a few days later. According to the Whittier Daily News, Flores was returning from his girlfriend's house.
