Jesse McWayne, a 19-year-old black man, was shot Sunday, Aug. 2, while walking on the sidewalk in the 1700 block of East 59th Street in the Harvard Park area of South Los Angeles.Craig Harvey, chief coroner investigator, said McWayne was the victim of a drive-by shooting.
The shooting occurred at 8:15 a.m. McWayne died at a hospital less than 90 minutes later, Harvey said.
