Jesse Rivera, 28, a Latino man, was shot at 735 Ashcomb Drive in Valinda, near Industry, and died at 5:51 p.m. Thursday, April 5. Rivera was working on his car when two Latino men walked up to him and asked him what gang he was from. He denied being from any gang; one suspect pulled a small caliber gun and shot him in the torso. He died later at a hospital.
