Jesus Sanchez, 22

Died April 21, 2011

Jesus Sanchez, a 22-year-old Latino, was fatally shot Thursday, April 21, in the 9800 block of South Beach Street in Watts, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office, said Sanchez was the victim of a walk-up shooting.

He was taken to a hospital in Lynwood for treatment before being pronounced dead at 10:02 p.m. Coroner’s records show Sanchez was shot several times in the torso.

Winter said several other people were also shot during the incident, but he did not know the status of their condition.
