That's just what I was wondering. All of sudden, killings every week in Downey when it seemingly used to be able to keep trouble at bay. What's going on DPD? Chief Esteves? Call in the reserves before its gets out of hand, before it’s too late.

What is the riff-raff doing in our neck of the woods? It's time for Downey to have a curfew. If you cannot proof residency during evening hours then cite suspicious people. DPD needs to send a message. The true taxpayers of the city OWN the city, not some bald headed, big pants wearing, raider jersey wearing, hinna hand holding, lowrider driving punks.

Meck, there are some bad areas in Downey. I've seen blocks full of apartments and gang bangers hanging out in the streets. I don't know why you and Sherlock seem so shock about these homicides. There has been 18 homicides since Jan 2007.

Jag - Yes there some bad areas in Downey. They tend to be in the southernmost part, bordering Paramount. Some of these murders are a little too close to home and that's why it's shocking. Most of Downey is pretty well kept and citizens are on guard in their neighborhoods. It's also shocking, the rate of murders for Downey this year. It seems there's been a murder every week for the past month!!

To you, maybe a drug selling city, but were talking about murders, Einstein. Stay on subject. Saying, "OMG!!!" on your comment, you sound like a teen girl texting on her phone. Leva!

Look at the big brains on you!! That's exactly why I don't live in those neighborhoods, and the reason I make a big deal when it happens in mine!! Downey isn't known as a killing field. Seriously though, any murder is something to make a big deal about. Someone's life has been taken!

My dad was murdered in our home Nov 3 Downey police has made no arrest the person my father shot in the neck has been released because it will cost the state more to keep a parapaligic in prison. We should all sleep with gun under a pillow.
