Joe Alvizar, 18, a Latino man, was shot in the face at 1317 E. 62nd St. in Florence about 11:11 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4.
According to authorities, Alvizar was standing outside when a 1990s blue Chevrolet Silverado truck pulled alongside him. Words were exchanged between Alvizar and one of two Latino men inside the truck before Alvizar was shot.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. The shooting is believe to be gang related, according to detectives of the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau.

never really knew how you died till right now reading this and i burst into tears cant believe youre really gone almost 4 years, last time we crossed words was at our 8th grade ceremony...
