Joey Romo

Joey Romo, a 19-year-old Latino male, died after being shot multiple times in the 2900 block of Glenmanor Place, in Atwater Village, according to the coroner’s office.

Romo was standing in front of his house when the incident occurred.

The shooter was a man between 5 feet 6 and 5 feet 8, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, said Karen Smith of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Smith said the victim and the suspect were believed to be in the same gang. Anyone with information about the incident can contact Northeast Homicide detectives at (213) 847-4261.
