Johnny Bridges, 48, a black man, was sitting on a bicycle when a Latino man in his 30s walked up and shot him at 4310 Ascot Ave. in LAPD Newton division. He died at 7:21 a.m. Friday, May 4. Bridges was an ex-con on parole, and police suspect a narcotics deal may have been at issue.

Update: This case has been cleared. The Latino suspects have been charged.
