Johnny Robinson

Johnny Robinson, a 34-year-old black man, was fatally shot Thursday, June 17, in the 1400 block of East 99th Street in Florence-Firestone, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Authorities responded to a call of shots fired and a person down about 9:30 p.m., said sheriff’s homicide Det. David Gunner, who is handling the investigation.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they found Robinson's body in the front yard of a home. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Gunner said.

According to preliminary information provided by the coroner’s office, Robinson was shot in the head, abdomen and right thigh.

At this time, investigators do not have a description of the assailant, however they believe the shooting was gang-related.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Gunner or Steve Lankford at the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500.

wow i jus wanna share my condolences to the family wow i been knowing johnny since my cousins moved on the block 88th we was jus kids lol we had some good times 2gether and life times of laughter like when we was suppose to be cooking biscuits and fell asleep we woke up by the house full of smoke lol he was a fool acting like fire marshall bill(let me tell you something!!!) lol!!!!!he was a man of his word and shared his love and smile always something possitive to say a fallen soldier i love you capricorn thats what we called each other our birthday was on the same day i jus cant believe this.. love lil k.k.

p.s. you look well rested and sharp i am happy to have called you my friend i shared some tears for our friendship but will share nothing but fond memories of you no more tears....

"a fallen soldier" .... code word for a gangster.

capricorn, can you tell us more about his gang banging ways in which he inflicted terror and violence on others? Do you think his many victims would have any good to say about him?

"Soldier" = gangster. Thugdom inevitably leads to prison or death. Robinson no doubt caused a lot of misery in his 34 years. No RIP here, just another example of just desserts.

There was a homicide 2.5 miles north of this location about 23 minutes after this one was reported. Wonder if they are related?
