Jonah Alexander, a 24-year-old black man, was shot in the chest at the intersection of Western Avenue and Carlton Way at 2:55 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, and died within the hour at 3:36 a.m.
A passerby found him in the roadway next to the curb. He was taken to County-USC Medical Center, where he died. LAPD Hollywood detectives said some dispute was involved.
