Jorge Avalos, a 20-year-old Latino, died of several gunshot wounds on Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at Studebaker Road and Excelsior Drive in Norwalk, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.
Officials said Avalos was sitting in a car when the shooting happened. It has been classified as gang-related.
