Jorge Duarte, a 22-year-old Latino, was shot and died July 11. He was shot at Rosecrans and Bloomfield avenues in Norwalk, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.

Duarte was stopped at a red light when several people pulled up next to him in a car and shot him several times, said Craig Harvey, a spokesman for the coroner's office. His car then rolled through the light and crashed into a pole, Harvey said.

Duarte was shot about 2:10 a.m. and pronounced dead at 3:01 a.m. at a hospital.
