Jorge Ocon, 29

Died Nov. 25, 2011

Jorge Ocon, a 29-year-old Latino, was fatally shot by police Friday, Nov. 25, in the 800 block of East Jefferson Avenue in Historic South-Central, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Ocon was walking when he was stopped by officers.

Los Angeles Police Department officials called the nature of the encounter "routine," but said the exact reason remains under investigation.

Ocon pulled out a gun, officials said, and the officers fired, striking him twice. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died during surgery.

Coroner's records show Ocon was shot several times.

Anyone with information about the shooting can leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS (800) 222-8477.

California is not a stop and i.d. state....if no crime is being committed they have no right whatsoever to stop this man....yeah..we know it's under investigation..IE...a way to cover up.....That's why when police harass us..they use we fit the description to give them probable cause.....
