Jose Carrasco, a 23-year-old Latino, was fatally shot Sunday, Jan. 29, in the 5000 block of South Broadway in South Park, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Carrasco was shot about 5 a.m., police said.
After the shooting, authorities were called, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Coroner's records show Carrasco sustained gunshot wounds to his right shoulder and lower left abdomen.
Police said the shooting was probably gang-related.
