Jose Cruz, a 31-year-old Latino, was stabbed in the chest and died on July 7 in the 1700 block of East 7th Street in Long Beach, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.
Long Beach police officers received a call about a family dispute about 1 p.m. They found Cruz with a stab wound. He was taken to the hospital, where he died, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
A 53-year-old man was arrested in connection with the killing, but police did not release his identity.
