Jose Rivera, a 37-year-old Latino, was fatally shot Sunday, Oct. 2, in the 1400 block of East 23rd Street in Central-Alameda, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.
Rivera, of Los Angeles, was walking down the street when he was shot "numerous times" in the chest, said Sgt. Omar Bazulto of the LAPD's Newton station.
The killing was not believed to be gang-related. Bazulto had no information on the suspects.

...I google the adress.....its a gang hang out.....they got the hood right on the wall of the apartment building...now this guy is dead......hope he wasnt just an innocent by stander...innocent people always get caught up in stupid gang banger's mess

I googled the location and found that East 23rd looked like a fairly decent street. The homes appeared to be well tended for the most part.
I did see one house that had been tagged though.
What should I have been looking for?

If you go further down the block, you'll also see another house with the same tagging. There's a couple of gangsters maddogging the car taking the pictures. All I was saying is that this is a gang-infested area.

He was a really nice man always smiling my condolences to his wife and kids may god help them trough this :( I hope they find out who is responsable I can't believe they would kill a innocent person can u please update us about this case
