He warned his p.o. about his life being in danger and his p.o. did NOTHING about it!! And now my little cousin is gone!!!! Why didn't you listen and get my cousin out of L.A. you knew he wanted to go back to his home town!!!!! I hope whoever did this, get's caught and I hope his p.o. really feels guilty because he knew Esteban's older brother had been trying to get him back!! but since you took your sweet time on his paperwork and you were to lazy to return phone calls my cousin is dead!!!! Nancy,
Really you work for the Department of Corrections? Then you know more then the average person reading these blogs that transfering someone to a new location is that not easy. Besides, Villa said his life was in danger (not confirmed) but what was the Parole Officer to do? IF Villa could not afford to move or had no money to move what was this agency to do about that? We do not provide housing. And even if his life was in danger it had nothing to do with the agency, his life was in danger for things that he engaged in his private life. The blogs here do not indicate that his life was in danger due to his being on parole. You must be a clerk or even lower on the knowledge pole to have gone off half cocked and written about something you know so little about from the information in this one little article.

None of you know my brothers story. You do not know the facts beyond this article. If you need confirmation then there must some guilt brewing. The alternative to lack of funding and lack of capability is to just let them die huh? Sounds just like an LA County Probation Officer who cries that they are not paid well or they fear for their lives. Meanwhile the few who actually want to make positive changes in their lives are lost in the mix. Jose Esteban Villa's story will be told and heard alound across Los Angeles County. I will be sure of that.

Jade, if u must know I'm a parole officer my self and have knowledge about my department I've worked for over 10,years I was basing my opinion on the victims familys post u are right and we do not have the funds to provide housing or the money to physically transport him but if its correct what the family stated he did have a permanent place were does it say other wise? What there stating is that they were waiting for paper work do u know how long it takes to file a request special if he already had a permanent residence? Not very long just a simple phone call to the county of his new residence would have done the job please, specially if he had stated a concern for his safety as for your comment "his life was in danger for things he engaged in his private life"of course that should be a concern and taken very seriously by our department hello WE ARE HERE TO MONITOR this individuals and make sure they not only comply but help them transition to a healthier way of life to me its just a personal choice and making a phone call is not hard
