I didnt know him but i knew his 2 oldet brothers. i am sorry to hear of their lost. But what i want to say to young women and men of Los Angeles is.... Ladies PLEASE do not invite a man ti your house if you know that tour neighborhood is not suitable for visitors and coyld potentially cause someones Son, Brother, or Father their life. And men please start thinking with your Bigger head stop allowing a 5 minute sexual feeling to take you away from your family for the rest of your life. GodBless the Gilbert family and may he give them strength at this time.

A concern Citizen is right. Im 29 from Long Beach..and I found my self in that hood..."the jungles" over a female. I drove into that blood hood and felt so naked...I know where I can go, and where I cant go...its just a part of life in LA...the girl got me to go into her gang infested hood that I know nothing about...I will not happen again.

So sad to happen Thanksgiving night. I send my condolences to the victim's family.

I live in the complex where this happened and was woken up by the altercation. It did not sound normal. I heard a lot of yelling, arguing and screaming, and then instant silence. The sounds didn't fade or move down the street. It just merely stopped.

Unfortunately, this is a terrible neighbor hood. I would never raise a family here (fortunately I do not have kids yet). There is no feeling of safety or security. I do not even use the local stores for fear of being in "the wrong place at the wrong time"

I feel sorry for the people of La county You have a major problem with Gangs. I'm from a city of 2 million ( East coast Florida ) 90% of the stories on here are all gang related. What you do not teach your children The differants between right and Wrong. You only have 1 life and these gangbangers could care less who they hurt . Time to shipp them to some Island and let they kill each other

I agree with AbsolutlyKrazy. The gangs have taken over your lives in CA. It seems as if they kill just for the sport of it. What the hell is this world coming to, when there is no regard for life?? I think the Government can do something about it, if they want to.
Either bring in people to control the situation or send the gangs some place away from the innocent people. Let them kill each other if this is the way they chose to live! If they want to act like savages, they should be treated like savages...
