Joseph Herd, 27

Joseph Herd, a 27-year-old black man, was shot and killed Monday, March 28, in the 2200 block of East 105th Street in Watts, according to Los Angeles County coroner's records.

Herd, of Inglewood, was found about 5:15 p.m. with a gunshot wound to the chest, said Ed Winter, spokesman for the coroner's office.

The victim was taken to a hospital in Lynwood where he was pronounced dead less than 30 minutes later, Winter said.
