Joseph Lamar Jakori, 22

Died Jan. 31, 2007 at 7:14 p.m.

Joseph Jakori, a 22-year-old black man, was shot near the intersection of Slauson Avenue and Holmes Avenue in Florence and died at 7:14 p.m. Jan. 31. Jakori was shot on the railroad tracks.

The suspect, a black youth or man, approached and asked him if he was in a gang. Jakori said “no.” The suspect killed him.
